Binevir Fiberglass dowel bar is a smooth, round cylindrical bar without any surface treatment. Field cutting of dowel bars is generally not required, but if necessary, it can be done using a fine blade saw, grinder, carborundum, or diamond blade.

Sealing the ends of dowel bars is NOT necessary. Likewise, greasing the dowel bars is NOT needed, as the bond strength to concrete is sufficiently low.
