Binevir’s Egor Litvinov Talks Fiberglass Reinforcement and the Future of Concrete at ACI’s Philadelphia Convention
At the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Fall Convention in Philadelphia, Egor Litvinov, Business Development Manager at Binevir LLC, delivered an informative presentation on the use of FRP bars in modern concrete construction. With a focus on the growing role of sustainable materials, Egor highlighted how FRP bars provide a durable, corrosion-resistant alternative to traditional steel reinforcement, especially in critical infrastructure projects.
During the session, Egor explained the benefits of fiberglass and Basalt fiber reinforcement, including its lightweight properties, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability, making it ideal for projects requiring minimal maintenance. Unlike traditional steel, FRP bars do not corrode, which reduces the need for costly repairs and extends the lifespan of structures. He emphasized the potential for FRP bars to reduce environmental impact through decreased material use and extended service life, contributing to a more sustainable approach in concrete construction.
This presentation is part of Binevir’s ongoing effort to promote knowledge of advanced reinforcement technologies. By educating ACI members on the advantages and applications of fiberglass materials, Binevir aims to contribute to a more sustainable future in concrete construction, aligning with ACI’s mission to improve the design, construction, and maintenance of concrete structures.
