Fiberglass rebar

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer rebar, is a solid reinforcing bar used in structural applications. It is composed of high-quality fiberglass roving and a resin matrix, resulting in a durable and reliable material with superior tensile strength. Our GFRP bars exhibit proprietary sand-coated outside surface which enhances its bonding strength with concrete and greatly reduces hand damage from splintering during product handling. These GFRP rebars are specifically designed to reinforce both prestressed and non-prestressed construction structures and components. They find applications in various areas such as building and structure foundations, concrete floors, and roads. Lately, GFRP rebars have emerged as a viable alternative to traditional steel rebars for concrete reinforcement. However, as with the BFRP rebars, it is important to note that direct substitution of steel rebars with their GFRP counterparts may not always be feasible due to differences in mechanical properties, such as lower modulus of elasticity, shear strength, and limited maximum sustained shear stress of GFRP rebars. Therefore, it is crucial to adhere to applicable guidelines when designing GFRP-reinforced concrete structures. By following these guidelines and considering the unique characteristics of GFRP rebars, engineers can ensure the successful integration of this innovative reinforcement solution into their projects.

Our rebars can be preassembled and supplied as a fiberglass structural matt.
